during a PenTest help ag discovered a cross site scripting in one of Q-pulse applications, which can be exploited to perform Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks.
1) Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in q-pulse application: CVE-2014-1238
When URL encoded GET input "LookupListType" was set to "DocumentTypeLookupList%0A%0Aalert(123)" on the page "/qpulse5web/ui/common/managedlistdialog.aspx/". the parameter with directly inserted to a javascript
variable named $RootTree without validation, an attacker A remote attacker can trick a logged-in administrator to open a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in browser in context of the vulnerable website.
